Patrick

So were sitting on the couch with Pat and his family (Nessa, and Suzanne). Pat says I read your blog and I notice stories about Tim, Mike, and Shawn but never about me, he says grinning. Suzanne pipes in "well honey we don't have any drama going on it our lives". So to reward those people who don't have dramma this will be about my oldest son Pat. He works for ffa and is their computer guy. His wife Suzanne has a degree from IUPUI (as does Pat)and works for Best Buy. Daughter Vanessa is going to be 3 this summer and gets to go on a cruise with grandparents Jim and Joyce and Pat plus Suzanne. They don't do dramma. They live on the south side in two story home with Pat's mother visiting frequently (which is why I don't visit much without making an appointment) They are thinking of having another child next year which unless somethis changes could be our 8th grandchild. Their big news was that Suze gave her 2 week notice to the Library and is taking a couple of more courses at Ivy Tech. Nessa who is as smart as they come seems to be in charge of the family. She discovered warm pillows of dough at Olive Garden covered with sugar. She began dipping her finger in the sugar and then licking it off. When the waiter came to take away the plate Ness cautioned him "no thats my desert, walk away!" Pat has nothing of consequence to announce. Maybe we should make something up about him so we can include him in our blog. Okay here goes....Pat is so good at computers that he invented a fool proof system that predicts what card will be turned up next in any card game and is no bigger than a thumbnail plus is made of organic biodegradable material thus cannot be detected by any scanning devises. He has used it at atlanic city and las vegas winning millions of dollars which he has buried under his home in a giant tomb of treasure sort of like a basement of gold. He keeps adding to these treasures and holds them there waiting until no one will notice his riches. His only flaw is he is famous for saying "the world is mine, muhahaha". Which his youngest daughter Vanessa now says. See ya next time!!!

MEET RON TIDROW

My son Shawn called me saying "hey dad did you know there is another you in this world". Well on line there is a Ron Tidrow who advertises himself as "Arrosmith Leather". so I dropped him an e-mail and got this response: My brother, who lives in the Detroit area, has taken the family tree back to 1810 in Virginia.
I do not know the history well, but I know there were some that moved westward from Virginia and then went thru Ky, Ohio, Ind & into ILL by the 1850's.
We know that a John Tidrow (b.1838-40?) served in the 4th ILLINOIS Calvary as part of Grant's guards all the way to the battle of Vicksburg in 1863.

My grandfather (1891-1992) remembered, as a boy, hearing talk of Uncle John(d. 1904?), the Calvary veteran. He was born in Nebraska, lived in Kansas City , St Louis, and retired in Detroit & then Florida.

I grew up on the north edge of Detrioit & went to school & university there. After living in the Boston area for a bit, I moved to Canada in the early 70's. By the mid-70's I was producing leatherwork & attending craft festivals & events throughout southern Ontario. Did that for 30 years.

Well I find this pretty cool to be in two places at once. He seems to be a nice fellow, maybe I get him to make me a belt with my name on, no I mean our name on it!
As for regular life Mike is taking his Army physical today so who knows what gives with that. I only wish he wanted to be something like doctor, lawyer, medic, computer guy, rather than an army scout. Shawn is moving to his own apartment in 9 days and is anxious to get there. Strat sent me a case no so that I can get all my lost codes restored, that is a relief. Oh and lets make it offical I hate my new computer, whish I never bought it. I would have been better off donating it to the church or something.

shitty Day

Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. Today I sit her mauled by the bear. First I was using my new computer (sometimes called the computer from hell)and it ate another file. By ate I mean deleted! It particularly likes the taste of Strato .dll files. This particular one was from a Strato-lite fb game and of course it rendered it ususable. So like a smart tech-no geek I tried to find a retore point from a couple of days ago. The computer from hell proceeds to tell me there are no restore points and that it is setting the computer back to just out of the box condition. No if and or butts about it and it didn't even ask if I approved or wanted to back up files. So Walla all my games are gone and some are irretrievable. For instance my work on TMG basketball is all gone. Next all Strat games are gone and can't recover the stupid product codes. Further the music of Uja Wang is destroyed(she is a pianist from Indy who performed with the ISO). Everything including my copy of 2nd and 10 fb. Football helper, Take Command games, all destroyed. Now I have a computer that has nothing on it. Because of that I have informed the play by email leagues that I will be resigning at the end of the season. Can't play baseball if the computer eats your files. Beside that I have discovered that I have been buying duplicate books. Like "The Force Uleashed", "Assination", and a few more tittles duplicated. I guess I am losing it. We had 8 inches of wet snow dumped on us(yes I know it could be Washington). And to top that all of the Superbowl Party fizzled. Not only did the Colts Blow big chunks but Shawn came out early and rooted for the Saints. Traitor, and I told him I did't want to live next door anymore! Yes I tend to panic and then overreact. Nothing going right everything stinks and there is no hope. At least its almost 11pm so in an hour I can go to bed. Sorry folks not taking calls answering emails or any form of communication for at least 24 hours until the crap about the Colts goes away. By the way Peyton Manning just proved he is nothing more than an above average QB. As for the rest of the Colts they are about as good as the Pacers are.P U. I hate computers. You know maybe dice and cards are the answer. I am sure they'd let me play them at the home, when Pat commits me next week.

Ronald Tidrow 10 reasons I won't cry when Mike leaves. NO MORE: 1.waking me up randomly 2.toiletpaper running out 3.wearing my shoes 4.dings in our cars 5.call of duty noises in the background 6. frequent ''hey dad, come here''6.complaints about my "tuna noodle surprise" 7.paperwad basketball games with Shawn8.high car insurance 9....girlfriend sleepovers10.late nite calls asking when I'm coming home.
Well actually I'll miss the little bugger. We have been friends for 20 years. Yes I know you are not supposed to be your kids friend but I don't know any other way to put it. Actually I am quite proud of what he has done. He has worked steadily at Penn Station for 3 years. He seems quite settled with his girlfriend, and has a lot of schooling under his belt at Ivy Tech. He seems to be pursuing his dream of law enforement and going about it in the correct way for some one so young. I certainly hope he comes out of this unharmed. I hope this for Tim also but there are guys not coming home every day. Oh by the way the above reasons is from my facebook. Mike helped me do it and he laughed a lot. I don't get why Sue and I have four sons and 3 are pursuing para-military careers? What is the story here ? Well I did not want to let this go bye without saying some nice things about Mike. He is a good kid. Tim said anyone who had Susan and me for parents won't have any trouble in the Military. Are we that tough? By the way Shawn is moving out of his Mommy's house and into an apartment in Greennfield. For him this is the first step toward getting his own home. Since I am reporting Tim is safely at Ft.Sam Houston in San Antonio TX. And Pat is alive I think since he never has need of me. I think now that Shawn is going the divorce will give Pat full custody of his mom. You know I have spent 48 years studying the Civil War and Abraham Lincoln. Many time it talks about the parents back home while their son was fighting in the war. Now I have some idea of what thats all about. Mike is taking some test for the armed forces to see if he has a brain, then I think he intends to go into the reserve (army){thanks Tim} and not leave until August. Well thats about it except Mike I wish you well with godspeed and hope you come home safely.
