10 things I rather do than watch the pacers

The Nba draft was yesterday and as I said on twitter I hate Paul George, and I hate the Pacers. They drafted half of the Beatles Paul, George but forgot John and Ringo. They now have by my count 6 or 7 small fowards (why?). I actually did research and since 2004 they have drafted David Harrison,Danny Granger, Shawne Williams ,Jerolyd Bayless,Tyler Hansborough, and Paul George. Not an inspiring group and certainly nothing to start a winning tradition with. So with that in mind here are 10 things I'd rather do than see the Pacers play
1.Watch every game of the World Cup soccer matches
2.Watch every minute of the U.S. Open golf tornament
3.Watch every match in the World Boxing Association
4.Drink Clamato
5.eat mussels,oysters and crab meat
6.be a groomer, shampooer, and nail clipper to my son's dog Waldo
7.give Larry Bird a pedicure
8.lick the floor of the Indiana Fever locker room
9.give eldery people a sponge bath
10. watch every game of the L.A.Clippers

Plunkitt Visits

The Great and Powerful Plunkitt made his annual trek to my humblde abode yeasterday. I guess for next year I'll have to move to an undisclosed location. He of the Baseball card kingdom where he is one of the lords of the cardboard came to rape and pillage my small, worthless village(in other words trade cards) He came with 2010 Topps Heritage cards and we swapped them out all afternoon. Once done we engaged in a Replay baseball game from 1956. The computer curiously chose to bat Al Silvera for the Reds who appeared in one game with 0 ab bats. We both wondered if he had played in the Reds Opener in 56. Well (Temple,Burgess,Kluszeski,Post,Bell,Jablonski,Robinson,McMillan,Nuxhall with Crowe and Harmon also appearing in the game) no is the answer. The Cards (Moon,Schoendienst,Musial,Sauer,Boyer,Virdon,Sarni,Grammas,Mizell with Kinder also pitching) answer many questions except Silvera? In my research I noticed that 1956 was the debut of the new Crosely Field Scoreboard known as the "most modern in any stadium in the country, and required 150,000 feet of wire" Well after that MrP wanted to grab a latel lunch at his favorite eatry Skyline Chili which does not tempt me so I passed on the invitation. He pronounced the Replay PC interesting but not worth his pesos.
In other news Tim is getting antsy about his new duty assignment, and Mike is still trying to be a soldier (dumbass). Pat is preping for his Disney vacation. Shawn has chosen to be missing in action. We have seen him but once in the last 3 weeks and that was for a haircut, but it was very nice to see Johnathan, and Lauren. Saw a picture of Jessica's baby bump and am glad I am a male not female. I do not believe I could stand that nastyness for 9 mos.
Pat and Dad report that Robb has worked on the family history and defintely made the connection of us to Patrick Henry. Further he noted that he saw some Adams and Hancock names in our past. With so much less population one wonders if a little intermingling took place. I bet so! Trying to find a name for my scooter so far General Lee, Hummer, and Donkey have been suggested. Well it will soon be July and I think that this will be a no travel summer which is okay by me. I'd rather stay home and eat sliders. So from all of here thanks for being you.

Thursday, June 10, 2010

Well it has been a good week thus far. First hats off to the Chicago Blackhawks who last night captured the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1961. I have been following them since I was in high school in the 60s. Next I lost a tooth on monday had it pulled and it was a big chewing tooth in the upper back. Still hurts but everything is a-ok. Sunday I was visited by Pat, Suzanne and Vanessa. We went to Bob Evans to eat and then over to the Oaklandon playground. I watched Nessa play for a long time and it was a nice day and we all had fun. After that we adjourned to our house and pat installed a printer for Susan. It was a real nice time. We also stopped by Soltaire Game store and saw Tom, Conrad Bruner playing a war game which Tom and his "big cannon" was winning. The rest of the week has been nothing much to write home about with a soft food addition.
