Negro league all stars

Well today the new Negro League All Stars took the field against a crew of Hall of Famers, and at the Jamestown Stadium it was bring your pet day so naturally Ginger,Nutmeg, and Dice were on hand. Gingy and Meggers were content to run around in the outfield grass but Dice was intrigued with the game itself. She batted at the dice sniffed the scoresheet and pencil as well as the large blackdrop which moved when she touched it. She batted at the players pictures on the field, but her very favorite was the 20 sided dice. She continually batted at the curious object and on several occasions she tried to pick it up.
The game was won by the HOFers 5-3. Nlas William Bell gave up 5 runs on 14 hits including 3 by opossing hurler John Clarkson. Clarkson did not allow a run until the 7th and was the winner. NLAS only managed 7 hits and no homers were allowed in the game. It was Veterans Day but the veteran will not arrive until friday while leaving again on Sunday. It was a good afternoon with the light coming on at 4:50. The game itself took 54 minutes. As one fan put it "Dice likes Dice"

Halloween Fun

Well last weekend we had halloween and our 25th anniversary which was great fun. We combined both and had almost 40 guests. Sue had a poodle skirt outfit and I went as the "Big Bopper" JP Richardson. Got a new pair of jeans out it too. Our preacher was our good friend Margaret Lowe-Smith who did a marvelous job on the renewal vows. Dad was there as was Jeannie and Billy Wright, plus Ryan and Jessica1, Rhett and Jessica2 as well as little Ashlynn with her mom Jessica3 Stone. We played the newly wed game which was won by Pat and Suzzane. I learned things about my sons no parent need know, namely one was Speedy Gonzales, one was Ironman, and one was MIA in the bedroom(yech). All the grankids(6) were there as many friends like Lou and Marge, Tom and Patti, Russ and Lynn, as well as Roy and Nancy. Roy was either Brett Farve or Captain Underware ? Then we had the elections which was a big Republican,Tea party win. Unfortunately it will only cause more gridlock in Washington and Obama istn't wise enough to capatialize on it. After that Austin turned two and enjoyed his new toys including a hughe Orange ball which he quickly learned he could jump on and roll off. In the process I got to meet Dan Burton the congressman who won again.
the Pacers took two losses this week and will be searching for 3 tonight against Milwaukee. Also tonight Greenfield Central hosts Pendleton Hts who they have already lost to this season for the sectional championship. I bought a CD yesterday which boasts of 21 hours of cartoons which is about my speed. Thats all folks!!!
