Butt of the State

Just got back from the butt of the state. We(by that I mean Sue) went gambling with our friends Russlynn at Belterra and Hollywood. That area of the state, we decided, is the butt of the state. Gary must then be the armpit of the state, and you can figure out the rest. Before you ask is was a losing trip that started on Susan's __th birthday. We had a nice time despite the losing, however we got a visit from security. After a day of gambling we played Euchere and we having a high ol time when someone complained about making too much noise. Me and my rowdy friends an old woman in a wheel chair, two old men, and a retired teacher gettin rowdy. What a hoot! We were in hollywood and by the way its nearly the same except for a redisned casino and a big blond guy was risht next to me. It was fromer Pacer Rik Smits coming to gamble. Ya know when ones playing days are over one becomes just a big dumass like the rest of us. The food buffets were good and plenty. The picture is of Vanessa from her daycare center. I rember school pictures not being very expensive but they wanted $90 for this little setup. Suzanne is starting her new gig with Hunt Construction this week and Tim had a weekend visit from his wife down in San Antonio. Mike is at his new job at Penn Station in Greenwood. The best news is that the baseball season is starting up and I for one am excited. We are all very excited to see Butler in the final four of the ncaa toruney. I took my teacher test at Butler and Dad played there, Susan went there for her masters, and Jeanine was there also. So Butler is always one of my favorite places, GO BULLBOGS.

high anxiety

I am at the moment in another state of high anxiety. I have done this every year since 1965 and always fell the same. Tom and I call it waiting of a "spy camera" from an episode of THE SIMPSONS. I know on Presidents Day I ordered strato cards, images and disk. According to SOM it was completed yesterday and according to UPS tracking it departed Uniondale NJ for Indy today. That probably means it will arrive tonight or tomorrow and be delivered Thursday or Friday. The anxiety of waiting is excruciating. Every loud car, bus or heaven forbin a truck makes my ears perk up like a dog who hears something we don't. The clock draggs and everything is annoying. Mostly one tries to live their life normally but its not easy. Its at this time many deals with the Supreme Being are struck. Like "Make it come now and I will use it for a sign of your omnipotence." Its all a mind game and when I am in the house alone its worse. Sue is giving lessons and mike is working at Penn Station. Oh by the way the attached picture is my senior picture and I have been searching for it for a while and finally found it a Dad's house along with some others that I am scanning. I got a play station game yesterday MLB10 the show. Someday I will play a team thru a schedule and see just how accurate this game is. As for the eye candy the game itself is beautiful to watch. I played 1 inning against the White Sox and loved it but just no yet in baseball mood. Traditionally my seasons are three baseball, football and basketball. Baseball goes from April to August. Football from September to December and basketball from December to March. So I am still in basketball season for a few more weeks. It looks more and more like Shawn and I will live next door to each other. I believe my address should be 583 Reed Ct, Greenfield In. Private Tim is married and expecting with his new wife Jessica McKinney Stone. The got married at the time of Tims graduation from basic and the baby is due in September. Mike has a clean bill of health in his recent visit to the Doctor and is engaged to Ashley. Pat won a magic tournament sponsored by World Wake. He has been classified as a pro magic player (thats a card game he plays). Suzanne got her mystery job and will begin Mar 29, and we are sooo proud of her. Shawn moved into his new apartment last week. Its a move to strengthen his credit. Sue heard from Charity this week and she wanted Sue to send her a music book so she could practice on her Grandma Hoy's piano. It was nice to hear from her. Here is a closing joke. Mother Superior called all the nuns togehter and said to them. We have a case of gonorrhea in the convent. Thank God said the elderly nun at the back "I'm do tired of chardonnay." c ya later
