This is Easter Sunday (or a Pat puts it "ZombieDay" from coming back from the dead)and its opening day (sorry Yankees lose 1 to the Red Sox)and since its after 1am today is also Butler's appearance in the finals of the NCAA tourney against Duke. WoW what a day. Plus we have a visit to Pat's house for dinner, and surprise visit to Shawn's to deliver Austin an Easter Bunny. The picture is of my dad at the park shooting hoops. It and two other photos complete with article are from the Thursday Greenfield Reporter 4/1/10. The Article is by Ben Boldt who is currently writing a book about my dad and his athletic exploits. Dad played for Butler in the early 40's and his coach was Tony Hinkle. Dad was an All State basketball player from New Castle. He also spent a year, his freshman year at Indiana University during 1940 the year IU won the national champonship. Congratulations to him and all the B-Men on their school making it to the national championship we are pulling for you. The Bulldawgs are sadly a 10 point underdog.
The Cincinnati Reds open their season today and I will go out on a limb and predict a 79-83 season the Reds finishing 3rd in the Central Division. The good will be Votto, Phillips, Bruce and Dickerson, supported by Bailey Arroyo and Cordero. I see the Yankees and Cardinals in the Series with New York brining home the hardware.
The dinner at Pat's was good. Grilled Chicken, mashed potatos, brussel sprouts, and Bushes Beans. Cantalope for Desert. Vanessa was cute and charming as was Kate, and Suzzane. Pat is a lucky dog with so many blessing. Shawn was studying at his apartment but he had a cute video of Austin picking up Easter Eggs and eating the contents (Teddy Ghrams and Gold Fish). He recieved a Blue Bunny from Grandma Sue. Mike was busy having dinner at his girl friends house so we didn't see him and I talked to Tim yesterday as he is studying hard in preparation for his nationald EMT final test.
