"baby boomers are the great depressors"reprinted from Newsmax magazine by Scot Peterson. An economist named Harry Dent says that 77 million boomers created the greatest boom and now bust in U.S.history.He also said we were responsible for the peace movement of the 60s,the go-go 80s,and the booming 90s. This is caused by what is called generation waves. Now of course we are past our prime spending years.The high birth years of 1939-57 correspond to spikes in the market from 1985 the mid 2000s. Further it is said that the boomers going into retirement and spending less money will keep the market from bouncing back until about 2020 when the echo-boomers (our kids) hit their peak spending years. He says we still have the worst of the crisis ahead of us despite what the bailout does. So he says "store up your nuts and keep your propane tanks filled." He did say 2009 looks like a rebound year but in 2010 things will go south again. He closes by saying the great depression is ahead.
